Tresind caters to true gastronome and connoisseurs, seeking a culinary experience that engages the senses. It was one of the most lavish experiences we treasure from our food expedition. We went to try their Business Lunch set Menu and were flabbergasted and above charmed after discovering an innovative take on exquisite presentation, flavor and textures. In our opinion this is one of the luxury restaurants we indulged in.
In Nov 2014, CEO Sakshi, who runs Tresind along with her husband Bhupender Nath, accomplished her aim about having her own restaurant by giving birth to ‘TRESIND DUBAI’. She created a pioneering Indian fine dining with an avant-garde menu. Along with Executive Chef Himanshu, brings a distinctive notion in molecular gastronomy to Dubai for the very first time.
Through immaculate devotion to nitty-gritty, the interior is elegant and vivacious reflecting urban feel apposite for a corporate feast or a formal date offering an astounding value of food as well as the inviting ambiance. It’s a perky restaurant that keeps guests enthusiastic about their meals giving superfluous dose of radical exclusivity.
Even the beverage list is fashioned to allure the ultimate zest and aromas, with pragmatic elements of smoke infused concoctions and elusive oomph to rapture the minds. It is not often that the food dished up at a restaurant leaves you so enthralled. The actual hospitality from the service staff needs to be elevated.
From the second we approached the reception desk we were treated by the skilled plausible staff; our elusive aroma of top-notch gastronomy began as we seated. The lunch set menu offers 17 intriguing dishes with eccentric names. We started off with Deconstructed Pani Puri service. Followed by, Kadak Pao with house salsa and Wild Mushroom Chai mixed with dehydrated mushrooms and truffle powder milk. We relished all of them. These were just the welcome snacks; the real deal begins now!
The beverages were not included in the lunch set menu so we ordered the Lava Lamp AED 99 from the extensive menu. I assure you possibly can’t realize the complexity of this masterful concoction unless you try it out yourselves.
In appetizers, we were served 3 veg and 3 non-veg dishes, our lip smacking favorites were Butter poached Prawns in pickled masala, Lotus stem kebabs with raw mango and Green chili chutney, Tandoori Lamp chops, Tandoori paneer tikka sizzler in smoked paprika sauce (SLURPS), Banarsi aloo papad with white pea guacamole and Gaon Chicken cafreal was average but delicious. Simply leaving our taste buds intrigued and excited for more. They brought saffron flavored kulfi ice cream, a palette cleanser.
Three servers attended us throughout; assertive that we remain comfortable and kept showing up alternatively after every course meal asking about our feedback or whether we want more from the previous course meals. Moreover, they kept amusing our 5 month old baby boy so we delightfully relished our mealtime.
The manager kept showing up to see our amusing faces and made certain that the staff is attending us well. They had no clue that we are bloggers. It showed that dining isn’t only about stuffing one up with alluring dishes yet the entire journey matters on the kind of treatment every person gets.
Then, we were served with 6 mains. While each dish is commendable, there are several standouts. Mix Veg Kofta in duet of curries, Winter Veggies with papad curry, Moroccan Chickpea tanjine were luscious. But the standouts were Shredded Butter Chicken, Home style Sagh Gosht and Mangalorian Fish curry, all were salacious, tender and cooked perfectly served with fermented dough bread.
To seal the deal, desserts were served. Traditional Jalebi and Daulat ki chaat sprinkled with 24 carat dust and sohn paprdi crumble. Do I need to say more?! I mean look at the pictures mayn. Lastly, they brought Pan flavored Cotton Candy Floss as a Palatte cleanser. Nearly every dish from the texture, to the flavorings, the distinctive palates marvels us and was impeccably implemented. It’s the perfect ending to our gastronomical experience.
Tresind has been recently nominated for the Luxury Dining Awards this year. In past 2 years, they achieved several Honors Awards mentioned above. They acquired ample love from their customers, who made them accomplish the Best Asian/Indian restaurant with high recommendations.
VERDICT: From the visual presentations of the dishes to soothing our palates, Tresind has ascertained par excellence! The food is aspiring and fascinating, without being pompous, it’s an ultimate blend of food culture, skill and design. Bear that in mind, the menu here is not at all pricey for such exhilarating experience. Trust us this should definitely be in your ‘Bucket list’. We would highly recommend this restaurant to all the residents as well as the tourists.
