Little Lahore is an authentic restaurant that serves traditional Pakistani food. They are known for their delectable, scrumptious dishes that beats the rest. Saira Ahmed, is the brainchild behind ‘Little Lahore’. Dubai is a hub of different cultures and cuisines so keeping that in mind she launched a menu that caters both veg & non vegetarians.
Last weekend, we were invited to a bloggers night for a Tasting session. The restaurant is located in the hub of JLT Clusters. They offer fine dining aromatic food delicacies and introducing an eatery with some sightseeing location are the striking traits of this astonishing place, with their inviting menu and daily delights, this is worth a visit to your most pleasant experience.
Saira has been working as an entrepreneur since 4-5 years now, expert in Desi as well as Continental, Thai & Italian Cuisines. After getting much love & support from her family & friends, decided to take her passion to a bigger scale. She has a very loving husband, who has been her constant support throughout her journey and was super proud telling us how blessed he is to have found such an amazing yet talented wife.
This place will give you an ultimate pleasure for your enjoyable family gatherings with incredible food options. The restaurant service was prompt, waiters were attentive. The emphasis being on pampering so one doesn’t just relish the palatable food but also the atmosphere and company.
By maintaining her traditional roots, the interior details were right on point. The walls were covered with picture from our historical landmarks to classical singers. The color palette is creating an exciting, vibrant yet classic color combination. The Red, Black a clever combination of the opposites; the yin and yang of the modern interior decorating universe that brings both serene balance and exciting playfulness.
After much anticipation, we were served a hearty meal. We dug in immediately, breaking off a piece of piping hot cheese naan, followed by some scrumptious Keema Naan and a Kurkuri Bhindi appetizer. What’s there not to love about Lahori food?! The star dish for us was the Kurkuri Bhindi. We both tried it for the very first time and instantly fell in love with it. Afterwards, we were served some lip-smacking Mutton Seekh kebebs followed by some mains including Mirchon ka salan, Tarka Daal, Beef Nihari & Chicken Achari Handi with assorted breads. Their menu is extensive. All the breads we tasted were outstandingly, soft and fluffy, baked to perfection. To seal the deal some decadent desserts arrived as soon as we got done with our mains. The signature Pecan Pie & Kulfi.
KURKURI BHINDI – is a delicious twist to Masala Bhindi. It is stuffed with a tangy masala, deep-fried to crisp, served on a bed of raita. This dish was definitely an all-rounder!
KEEMA NAAN – These Naans were soft and fluffy and filled with an amazing spiced mince lamb filling.
MUTTON SEEKH KEBABS – If you crave for some spicy yet tasty Reshami / Mutton Seekh kebabs, chances are your search is over now. They are no doubt serving the most juicy, succulent, lip-smacking kebabs.
BEEF NIHARI – This slow cooked beef Nihari was truly a delicacy.
KULFI – Who doesn’t like ice cream?! Kulfi is the desi version of Ice cream. With those crunchy nuts on top giving it an edgy texture to compliment the sheer sweetness of the kulfi itself. I am still drooling by just the thought of it. One simply can’t resist the milky delight with just the right amount of sweetness. It was truly divine. I would definitely go back for this beauty.
PECAN PIE – The decadent signature pie was devilishly good. It had a sticky filling in center with a thin layer of pecans at the top. Perfection doesn’t even begin to describe this nutty delicious pie.
It depicts true culture and tradition of our hometown city. The taste of the kebabs, Beef Nihari, the sizzling hot naan is unparalleled. We would rate this place 4/5. We would love to go back and try their breakfast package soon.
